View Full Version : Bump map rendering in Mental Ray

Guys, I don't know what else to do. I've tried every last texture filter method, every last rendering filter method, all the rendering quality settings, but mental ray keeps giving me the highlighted problems from above. I'm trying to get my bump maps rendering on top of my displaced geometry. They've been converted into .maps, and, as you can see, are rendering fine on simple polygonal planes but not on my displaced geo. If I haven't been clear enough in my presentation here feel free to ask, just, PLEASE, help!

Turned out to be the 'Feature Displacement' checkbox in the attribute editor under the displacement map tab. It wasn't turned off. Duh! I hope someone can overcome the same dilemma with this thread. Thanks...
