hey Scott... good job so far, lookin cool.

My only crit at this point would be to make the animation and camera pan overlap a bit. Currently an animation happens then camera moves... then animation. I think it would read better if the camera started panning up before the animation of the first elements was complete.

just my 2 cents

Keep up the good work

looking good! i agree with shadermonkey's comment. what software are you using?

here's an idea that might work well for you:

at the beginning, instead of already having the circle graphics sitting there static, scale them from 0 to 100 - and try to give it some pop for example: on frame 0, scale 0% -> frame 10 scale 110%, frame 12 scale 97%, frame 15 100%. That should give it a kind of punch. tweak around with what looks best, those values are just for reference, more or less might work better. make sure you stagger the layers so they are not all animating at the same time. keep things asymmetrical and moving independently to keep it form looking robotic.

also, during the circles animating on, make them all 3D layers and move them around in Z space (using the "top" view camera to adjust). theeen, make your camera 3D and animate the camera so it's passing the circles in z space. this will give it some good depth. you will probably have to scale the circles to be quite large (as you're moving them away from where the camera ends moving in Z space and starts to ascend on the Y). check the frame to make sure the circles in 3D space now look good when viewed from 0 Z space.

wow, hope that wasn't too much! :) good luck!

FalseCathedral thank you for your ideas and insight! I made the heart in illustrator, and then imported it into after effects where I made it beat, and made the circle elements. The sunburst is an element from the riot gear collection from videocopilot, i just saved a still image of it then added a rotation expression and added some color. The cloud element I think i have to replace because of copyright issues from VCP that i just thought of now. I should take care of that before I forget... I think i'll create a vector cloud file to go with the style of the heart and everything.

That is quite a bit but that is some pretty cool stuff to consider, I had an idea thats a bit different but I haven't storyboarded anything yet as I'm a bit busy with school/lacrosse and such. Thanks for the input!

EDIT: here's the VCP content usage agreement

"These tutorials and project files may be used in your work and commercial projects but you may not
redistribute the project files or footage with sites related to training, templates or stock footage.
Using our footage or material for outside training or resources is prohibited."

since I'm using it in a personal project I think its legal, but I might change it anyway. It'd make me feel better.
