I have an armor surface I am texture mapping. Trouble is, I didnt do the texture map photos before I glossed the surface of the armor-so when i take photos I get the flash reflection all over it.
I did some of the texture photos by sticking the object in a flatbed scanner and rotating it--that reduces some of the flash issues but I cant do the whole thing in a scanner--some parts wont fit-so I have to photograph--and I get the flash thing.
I have tried using replace colour in photoshop but I am not so familiar with the settings.
I cant get it to change the white to something else.
Here's what I am dealing with and the result I got by using multiply over a solid light blue layer.
It helps but I still need to remove the rest of the white and then increase the darkness around the edges of the engravings.
Looking for short cut tips.
