View Full Version : Exporting breaks vertices

Is there a way to export from 3D Studio Max that doesn't cause the model to have various vertices break up?

I have a few .3DS files that I'm importing into Max, but they all have just 'lines' of broken vertices for whatever reason. The original max files are officially gone because they were all corrupted, or the current version of max I used doesn't want to open them. I realize that it's impossible now to actually fix these 3DS exports, and have to live with fixing the files again, but does Max honestly have to destroy nearly EVERY file I export? This isn't the first time, and luckily I have those Max files at least, but I'd really appreciate some advice for future exports.
