This is a task I did in the last semester of school. It's made in Maya 4.0

Hi,
I liked the lighting and mood in this, and even though it looks like you're character is fairly low polygon, she resembles the Anck Su Namun actress quite a bit.

Her pose is a little stiff though, she seems to be standing very still, almost like a gaurd at attention. If you could just break up the stiffness a little by shifting the balance on her hip, I think it could look really nice. I attached a quick example that I did in Photo-paint (I hope you don't mind me playing with your image :D)

I love the environment, the texture of the walls and the lighting ... really spook me in a way :)

I disagree. I think the whole image isn't contrasty enough. Shadows need to be much darkere in most places. less or no ambient light. Make it more moody.

The brick textutre should have a strong influence in the bump channel.

The woman kneeling seems to be floating. Her knees aren't rested on the ground.

Nice start though. Let's see those changes.

it's really flat in term of contrast and dynamism. Not enough movement. The textures are too clean, the scene looks really empty and the modellisation is too simplist.

The wall texture is also out of place because I doubt Egyptians guys used that kind of bricks, it looks more like a castle wall if you see what I mean.

Don't take offense of my comments, it's just to help you. Try to find more documentation and references about the subject before begining a scene.

Cheers
