i'm glad to see lots of new people, not that i'm sick and tired of the current crowd :P
i'd also like to point out that it is not necessary to post sketches on the day that the topic is posted. i think some of the new members might think that's a rule, so please do post in past topics too.

Glad to be here! haha :)
And we all know its not a rule but our teacher(@ Full Sail) is saying we should do it daily for a little extra credit on our final project!
I think most of us will definitely come back to sketch.

Thanks Roberto for the welcome!
I´ve just posted my first sketch yerterday, so i´m really new here.
This forum is great, the posts and drawing are incredibly inspire! I only hope to find the frequency and the courage to keep on learning.

Appreciate the warm welcome!
As previously mentioned, I'm sure many of us will continue to post. There's some really nice work here and I'm glad we were pointed in this direction.
I for one hope to improve and to dedicate more time to each sketch! :)

Thanks for the welcome!
And thank you Creeto, your post is inspiring since you have improved so much. That really makes me want to stick to this so I can improve my skill too.

Thanks for all the warm words of welcome. I have really enjoyed looking at all the talent here since I have joined. I hope that I can learn from everyone here and become a better artist myself. I haven't done any serious work in over 10 years (personal problems and my attempt to block it out with apathy that just killed the need to draw) but the urge to draw is slowly coming back along with my need to write stories (which has been gone a lot longer).
I am really surprized of how close nit this fourm is. I went to the Concept Art fourm to get some critique on some rough work I did and hardly anyone took a look at the thread. It was really upsetting to see a community that doesn't seem to communicate what needs to be improved on a work.

Welcome new people! :wavey: I'm fairly new myself, but I can tell you it's already been helping out my sketching and painting, and forces you to draw some things that maybe you wouldn't think of drawing on your own.

indeed. i've learned a lot only because of that. it forces you to observe nature, animals, people and environment which is a priceless experience :)
glad you got inspired Aleashasaurus
i try to record some of my (and others) techniques in painter and photoshop if anyone is interested

Thank you guys! I for one will continue to sketch even after this so called "extra credit" is awarded! Doing this daily has made me feel so much better about my work and I definitly feel like I'm improving as an artist. I find myself sketching far more than just the single daily sketch latley, just because I enjoy it so much!

...new guys? I hope it's ok that I've started to post, two days ago I didn't even know that I'm a 'Veteran', now that is going to kick off my middle-age crisis a bit sooner (although I'm 18).
Anyway, I've seen so many great ideas over there, inspiring, I think new members and the forum are doing so well (a bit dull thing to say, sorry)...

I definitely agree with miss Aleasha!
Creeto you provide much hope, at least for me, with your example. Thank you so much :) Sometimes the dailies don't turn out the way I would like sometimes and it gets frustrating but seeing your earlier art work (not saying its bad at all! ;) ) and then seeing your amazing sketches now definitely gives me hope!

I'm new... I've posted once or maybe twice? I sketch in my sketch book often on the themes, but I rarely upload just because it's such a hassle to scan in my drawings lol

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I really enjoy drawing these daily sketches - granted, I haven't been able to this past week but I'll be catching up quite soon.
Also, Creeto - Thanks for posting up one of your first posts! It's quite inspiring to be able to meet someone who's improved immensely since they first started. Even more so since I can actually have some sort of conversation with you without feeling intimidated. :) I'll be downloading your tutorial and checking it out later on.

Thanks for the tutorial Creeto!! Just watched the whole thing. It was really helpful to me to understand more of the brushes and effects in both photoshop and corel painter. I am definitely going to mess around with all of them very shortly. Kudos!
