i think your models look good, maybe a little bit more detail like screws in the robot. i just don't think the style fits within the animatrix. but i'd love to see an animation of the robot!

well in animatrix the robo hasnt screws :D but for the animation i'Ve to read the maya book. i dont know how to make it simple and good.
