Doesn't look like an AA problem to me - rather a geometry-problem...

How does it look with the scanline render?

I tried Brazil, rendered an image without tweaking any settings, and got a similar problem. My point is simply that I believe it can be an AA issue. Anyway, silv, have you tried to play around with the settings?

By the way, who's that in your avatar?

actually, i beleive thats a GI issue. You might have two overlapping surfaces from the same model that have the same smoothing group.. i'd try playing around with those to get it to recognise the edge.. This doesn't happen very often (atleast not for me..) but it's a rather easy fix..

I had the same problem, I solved it like this:

Go to "Image sampling control" en put the min and max samples to everything above 0 (I use 1 as an default and 4 for a sharper cleaner render) (I use the same decimal on both min and max, this way you force Brazil to not downsample certain parts)

you could even put it in minus mode, wich makes everything very drafty. (and very quick)

hope this helps !

i found this a tad harder to fix than i thought.., but in the shade rate, make the maxiumum atleast 0, this should clear it up. (0/-3 for example)
