After having a version somewhat working for a couple of months, I finally got around to rewrite most of it and wrap up a releasable version.
There are most probably bugs I'll have to fix and still things I want to implement but I'll probably do that sometime.
It all started with looking for a tool that would go around the constraints of the original geometryPaint from Maya, and actually led me to learn MEL then Python to make the tool I was looking for.
Hopefully it can be useful to others, here it is:
