View Full Version : Character: Stone Lord (3D low poly)

requirments where 3500 poly, 1 x 512 texture map.

It looks like a good character design and has been well executed, although the form is rather segmented that is fitting for the character of a stone demon.
The lower body has less form in it and is missing detail in the thighs and calf’s, and the feet look rather mechanical mainly due I think to the textures running along the feet and toes. The better work is in the upper part of the body and in particular the hands, with textures running across the fingers to emphasis the joints.

Very nice! I woud only say that the area below the rice hat.... it doesn't look as if it slopes up... looks rather flat to me but it could be the angle. Also, there are some very hard lines for cracks, yet some of the "muscle" definition almost seems too soft

Yeah the hat thing is my bigest mistake (in my opinion) with this model, just one of those things that when you do it you think it wll be ok, but then, it isn't.
As for the muscle stuff, yeah just trying to get the texture to do what I failed to do with the polys.
