Hello all. I'm fairly new to Cinema 4D. I have Version8.2 Studio bundle.

I've done a few real nice logos with Cinema, but that's small time. I'm wanting to get heavy in to character animation and some modeling....

Are there any types of video training options out there?? I am an avid Total Training user... and I wish that there were some similar options for Cinema...

Keep your eye out. I think a few members on the board are composing some video tutorials. Otherwise i haven't seen anything for cinema4d from the Total Training people. They do an excellent job. Maybe if enough people write them, who knows.

is it even out yet? wonder where you got it. Anyways, c4dportal.com has three video tutorials there...and I know jason busby from 3dbuzz.com is working (i believe so) on beginner vtm's (that means starting from the very basics)...

If he bought the studio bundle at siggraph then he would have a sort of early bird of 8.2

There's also a DVD by CG Artist "Cinema Character Artist 01". Not cheap ($99 I think?) but still has some good tips. In German with a option for English translation.
Should be able to get that through Maxon sales.

I was wondering if anyone could follow the video tutorial on c4dportal about how to use C4D to do 2D/3D compositing, starting with a 2D photo?

The compression is such that I think you need to know to some extent what's being done to follow, it's a pretty fuzzy movie.
