In the begining, it all looks good.
But final smoke looks wierd, how come?

looks like your voxels aren't square or your velocity vectors are not even ie you have intentionally scaled them asymetrically.

or if you're using the maya fluids to apply to cloud particles you're not passing unique position coordinates to each particle. They're all rendering the same texture space - you need to have those be unique to get a better look.

If you are doing surface emission from the chunks into a fluid node(rather than rendering particles) then my guess is you have fluid turbulence with a high frequency. If so then instead of turbulence add a temperature grid and use temperature turbulence (making temperature buoyancy zero).
