OttovonDrone 08-08-2003, 01:50 PM Hi guys,
A couple of old renderings of an old model I just stubled across while browsing through the old stuff. I should spend some time improving them. Thanks for your time having a look at them.

very nice work.
Specially the 2nd picture.
:applause:
Beautiful images!
The first one looks like a scale model hanging in front of a picture. Don't know why, it's just the impression I got.. :)
The second picture is photorealistic.
The third one looks like a screen capture from a game (a very high-end 3D game).
Very nice!

Wow,
really really nice. And yep, the 2nd picture looks best. How about posting some closeup or wireframe + shaded shots?

I can't put my finger on it, but something about the props makes them stand out.
Maybe just a tad of PS blur around the edges of them?

Hi guys! Thank you very much for the kind words!
As I said, these are very old images, from the pre-GI Era, created back at the Uni while doing my BA, in Max 2.5 and the task I set to myself with them was to achieve the effect we now enjoy with the Skylights while using vanilla omni's (I think 7 of them) and the Scanline renderer (except the last image which is raytraced over a Bryce scenery :))
I'll try to dig out the meshes.
Error404, you're dead on the money, the propellers are just plain cylinders with reduced opacity -- I had to go back to studying by the time I got to them, and I never completely finished the final touches :)
Thanks again guys!
Best,
