Red Camera is to be having some examples and accessories to their next big series of Digital Cinema cameras.
IBC is sort of their show for these big events for some reason. I think it was missing the NAB show a few years ago and the next big Show for them was IBC. So they are at it again. Next stop 8K!

Again, *ZERO* mention of Softimage in Autodesk's presentation program. Only Maya and Max (and Flame, Smoke, Lustre etc).
Starting to notice a bad trend here.

there's no bad trend at all.
IBC has always been a show where the system products such as Lustre, Flame, Smoke and now Flare, take center stage and 3D supports where possible.

There was more focus on Maya, Max and their respective suite products because the customer demos and workflows that we presented, and streamed live were using Max and Maya, together with Flame, etc. So it just seem to make more sense to show Maya and Max to support these stories and workflows.
I'm sure we could of included Softimage, but we just had so much to pack in, in a short space of time.

The presentations we have shown are excellent though, and really check out the Philips Carousel spot, it's awesome.
