View Full Version : PaintWeightTool - Error Warning

Hi,

Im new at the Forum and I`m learning character setup now, Im having problem with Paint Skin Weights Tool.

I have my skeleton ready and binded, but the influences are stil running bad. When Im using the Smooth Paint Weights Tool, I get the mesage:

// Warning: Specified weight could not be set due to locked influences.


Every time I hit a new stroke, Maya give me that warning, and when I change the joint Im painting, it goes back, as Ive never painted that before.

Sorry for any english errors, Im from Brazil... or non-intentional bad forum behavior.

Well, you might have some weights locked, so check Weight Paint Tool Options if there`s [Hold] next to it`s name.

Alse there could be Maintain Max Influences checked in Smooth Skin Options.
