Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a new role - a "Sky" artist. It is an artistic and technical role modeling, animating, and texturing 3D content to create amazing atmospheric vistas as well as tweaking some shaders etc.. check it out = http://www.bungie.net/inside/jobs.aspx#job20748.

I'm a bit stumped as to where this person exists! Anyone know? Recommendations on where to look? Feel free to ping me at teresa <at> teresaduke <dot> com (I work in recruitment at Bungie Studios).

Thanks!
Teresa

mmmh never heard or sky artist definition before, but reading the role description, well that sound more like an Environment artist to me, but to be honest I'm not pretty sure what would you mean with sky or what you guys are actually looking for

Yea - they have to interface with the env't artists as well as the FX artists, Graphic Engineers, and work closely with one of our Concept/Lighting/Matte Painters to make sure the files work right (adding their artistry to it). Perhaps a techy slant a bit too.

Tricky.

By the way - BEAUTIFUL work on your site. I quite enjoy my time at the computer when I get to click through lush art like that.

Thanks for the input,
T

so he is more like a programmer? I have a hard time understanding it myself...is he the artist who makes the skies or the guy who scripts the movement?

So far I only heard of Sky Caps Artists...and these were the guys who did the texture for sky dome...
