Sorry for the noobish question, but I can't seem to figure this one out. So here it goes...

I have model of a head that I want to animate using the shape manager. I exported the head to another application, and did some modeling of an open mouth pose. I then imported the object back into Softimage, assuming that I will be able to copy the modified head over to the original as a blend shape (sorry of that's the wrong term). I tried doing it with GATOR, but it just didn't work, no matter what settings I've tried. The user guide wasn't much help either.

Anyone has any ideas?

Just in case anyone comes across the same issue in the feature, I managed to combine the two objects using this fine match shape script (http://www.booyabase.de/?p=68), found through this great website (http://rray.de/xsi).

I still have this nagging feeling that I'm missing something, and that Softimage should be able to do this sort of thing out of the box. But my problem is solved for now.

shape>select shape key (pick open mouth object, presuming they have the same # of verts).

Thank you! That was just perfect.
