What would be the most "up to date" fluids simulator available in the commercial market?
My next personal projects involves a lot of complex smoke simulations, and I'm doing research on what would be the most effectiv tool for the job.
A the moment I'm fighting with Maya Fluids, and I'm getting the feeling that its slightly outdated, atleast its very slow and hard to comprehend. Not to mention the horrible interface.
I have been looking at fumeFX for 3ds max, the samples i've seen look nice, but I don't have access to 3ds max at the moment, so I haven't been able to test it, I would love if anyone could share thier experience!
At last I know that realflow also can preform fluid gass simulations, but I've heard its unstable and tricky to control. tho you do have the ability to export particles to other software, which opens for really interesting rendering possiblities... also here I would love if anyone could share some knowledge...
YEP!!
