This is a villain character I've been playing around with and finished (or rather abandoned) this afternoon. He developed from a doodle I did a couple of weeks ago, and although I'm not 100% satisfied with him, I have a limit to how much time I'll spend in Tweak City. I wanted him playful, but wicked!:D

The sub machine gun seem to lack detail compared to the rest of the image. Otherwise it looks cool. He looks like a genuine psycho, thats for sure!

You're right Denb. The gun was one of the things I was never quite happy with, but in the end, it's secondary to his face etc, so it wasn't worth getting frustrated about!!:)

Wow fizzgig - if you're John Schwegel (as your link suggests), then that's a real boost to the morale, man!!:buttrock:

I love your vector work - particularly for your use of vibrant colours. I've been a fan of your illustrations for while. Thanks!!!:applause:

If you're not John Schwegel, and you're just a big fan of his, then I'm equally pleased since you obviously have great taste!!!!:D

Great job, you have a really nice style there :D

One thing about the image that might make the gun look better with him is his pose with the gun. If you straightened his arm a little to make it look like he is firmly holding/aiming the gun it might look better.

Either way it is a great picture, hope to see your other great works soon:thumbsup:

I rotated that gun back and forth for hours whilst in the outlining stages. Originally he was going to be firing it (straigth upright), but his body posture was more 'taunting' than 'in action', if you see what I mean. By tilting the gun, I'd hoped to give the impression that he was inviting trouble - sort of "Come and have a go, if you think you're hard enough!!"

Thanks for the feedback.:)
