Hello,
I noticed that other artist made a crab (very similar :)...so I'm sorry to Baby ...I hope to not offend you.

Here the Baby crab (it rocks):

Baby's Crab (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57061&perpage=15&highlight=crab&pagenumber=1)

Anyway,
I begin to make a prototype of the crab to study the expresion potentiality features and the IK for the movements.

Texture, 3d bump, details and others in the next step.

For the expression I used paited Cluster, but they didn't help me enough. I'm just thinking to use lattice deformer.
The main problem was the eyelid blinking when the eye is deformed.
Any suggestions about this?

and the setup

Thank you

Hey, looks cool!
I can tell you are an animator from the expressions, very good. I especially like the one on the upper right.
Could be very cool with textures...
The legs could be a bit bigger though.
Can it open it's mouth? Looks like solid geometry there. Would be cool if it could.

Hi Rivendale,

yes...the legs are short.....I want it has a goofy pose.....anyway...I can change them....

for the mouth...I don't want make the mouth...it is to much human....I would use the armour profile in the front to simulate the mouth...It seems to work. and for the nose, I've pulled out a vertex control to simulate a little nose....I should be work.

Thank for the reply
