Hey Feng, I don't suppose that you'll be making a DVD tutorial for Gnomon? Or maybe to sell yourself? Man, if you made some DVD's on drawing with markers, and especially on concept drawing in perspective, I would snatch them up in a heartbeat.

I've been desparate for something like that lately, but most of what I've found is on traditional architecture; nothing like the crazy stuff you come up with. lol...no telling how many vanishing points you have in some of your stuff.

Anyhow, big fan here...keep it going.

I was in Fengs production design class when he did this demo. Very inspirational. Both done within 2 hours.. or faster than that I think. I think he did a set design that day too. Its very helpful to see the work done right before your eyes. Helped me realize that I have to loosen up.

Did you enjoy working at the Ranch Feng, ok thats probably a stupid question :). SW.com says you mainly created enviroments and sets. How many drawings / sketchs did you get through during your time in Australia ? A rough estimate?

Hello again,

i was out in Australia for pleasure mostly. A lot of the art department guys from the Ranch went on a studio visit. We were actually in New Zealand first. Got the best tour ever of WETA. (If any of you guys are from Weta, i thank you again for showing us your studio. It was a visit of a lifetime). After Weta, we all headed to Sydney to see the SW sets. Again, another great visit. Seeing the sets in full-scale was a very nice treat.

about publishing something....i'm working on it. =)

Man it seems everyone is having the pleasure of visiting down under, was Rob C. still there on set? He was on his way down right after the festival, but he's been so busy I haven't heard from him of late.

Even the C.O.R.E president Bob Munroe is touring around there for a month or two. It's a great time to visit Aussie I tells ya :)

Actually, it is MUCH older than ep 1...
It's called "Star Wars: The Essential Guid to Vehicles and Vessels". As afore metioned it's from '96 so it's only stuff from eps 4-6 and other Star Wars publications that came out before '96. Ep 1 didn't come out untill around '99. This book predates any of the newer SW movies.
