View Full Version : Need help with max texturing?

I'm just starting to get the grasp of using maxes bult in texturer & photoshop cs4, but when I apply the texture it looks like this, and this.
What did I do wrong?

It looks like you haven't set up your UVs correctly.

Textures need sufficient UV coordinates. 3ds Max ships with a variety of tutorials dealing with thatt matter, so your best bet would be looking thorugh these first.
Also describing your problem a bit more detailed(what have you done so far exactly? What are you trying to achieve?And what exactly is 'max bult in texturer?) would help.

By the way, I took maxes render to texture, then I went into photoshop cs4, then I did what I had to do to the texture, Then I opened up max again and I applied the bitemap to the diffuse slot.

Post an screenshot of your UVs so people can help easier. If you used automatic unwrapping when using render to texture I think it would be difficult for you to know where to paint.
