CGTalk - error when i click on "show" in viewport menu

View Full Version : error when i click on "show" in viewport menu

When i click on "Show" to bring down the drop down menu and select what i dont want to see i get this error in the script editor (turns red)

// Error: file: C:/Program Files/AliasWavefront/Maya5.0/scripts/others/createModelPanelMenu.mel line 867: Object not found: showStrokesItem //

any idea what this means? it stilll seams to work but it didnt used to turn red when i click on "show" i know nothing when it comes to mel. thanks

strokes are a paintfx element. Do you have paintfx loaded? Check by going to preferences then modules, and make sure paint fx is loaded. If it already is, try unloading paintfx, restarting maya and see if you get an error on the show menu.

THanks that was it... i didnt have paintfx loaded in preferences. :D
