View Full Version : Modeling: My Starfighter Engine Glow

I just got done adding a engine glow effect of sorts to My Starfighter Model. First off, could I get a few opinions on how the effect looks, and second, could I get some input on what kind of light might be good to add to the scene so that the fuselage is more viewable.

So what kind of light could I put in the scene to make the airframe more viewable, or make the sky brighter?

I went through some more of the tutorials that came with Max and this is what I came up with today out of my boredom. It's nothing compared to what some of you all can come up with, but I'm pretty happy with it.

hey -

i would suggest to tone down the background color to bring out your ship more.

for glow -

i would use 'video post'. It is actually quite simple and the F1 menu should provide you w/ enough information to get you going, but if you need more detailed help just ask

For sure, there're different way to do with your airframe.. I opened your craft! Not bad.
And, perhaps we could use texture/pic with alpha/alpha pic, and if we use texture which is supported by MAX itself. we're about to add some effects on it. such as noise, inferno,blur..and so on.
