A break from my usual cartoons, Still doesn't compare to the awesome work here, but I thought I'd get some C & C

To be honest it looks more like a comet than a planet dying. While i can't say what a planet dying would really look like i dont think itd "catch on fire", would probably be more "realistic" if you had a closer view of the terrain n it was all dark n stuff with the core destabilized (lava shootin out n places) and the earth gettin crushed into itself by gravity, or somethin like that.
Just sayin when i imagine planet destruciton i see darkness, brown, lava pillars, broken/cracked rock shootin out of the ground, etc etc.

Still, for your picture i like how the colors flow into each other and just look good, especially the clouds.

Thanks for the reply

yeah Im not really going for realism, Have you ever tried to set up the end of the world so you can draw it?:)

yeah I agree it looks like a comet, and I know that fire can't ignite in space due to lack of oxygen or fuel, but hey.

It may not be realistic, but neither are robots and aliens and half the stuff I see on here.

Interesting. great except:

1) Try to make the explosion all around the planet almost?
2) Make the colors less contrasting.

Otherwise me likes!!

ok, I have an idea, make up your own title and description, then everyone's happy :)

ok the original thinking was (if this helps at all) That this world, what green and blue you can see, has been hit by some weapon/meteor, and has been enveloped in flames, The clouds (I like clouds) are a mixture of the atmosphere of the planet and the steam from the water thats burning up, The towering flame is pointed to the right because I always thought it was silly that the world was seen as North=up and south= down, I asked my science teacher "who decided that" and he looked blankly and said "I did", School was great, anywho, the different colours in and around the flame are just elements reacting like some sort of kerrazy firework display, because who-ever runs the universe must have a sense of drama.

Tada!, now my fingers are tired

Thanks for the comments guys,
