Hi Everyone,

I finally got up the courage to start my own Sketchbook thread. I'm actually a really late bloomer when it comes to art. I only started drawing after I got out of college, and pursued a one year study to learn 3d when I became a wife and mother.

It's actually very tough to pursue anything right now, especially when you have a toddler around, nevertheless I'll try my best because I want to improve on my skills.

I've been inspired by Antropus,Magdalena, and other inspiring artists out there. I'm also thankful to Rebeccak, for posting great tutorials for newbies.

I'd like to improve my Anatomy skills, and my 3D Technical skills which is lagging at the moment.

I'll just start off with just some drawings I did for this year. I find myself to be really slow with my artworks, so I really want to improve on my speed. Hope you guys won't be too harsh on me. :D

Hi cue-she,

wonderful thread start.
Don't worry about being a late bloomer... (I only started drawing at age 33)
Just have fun :)

Looking forward to see more work from you!

Welcome. :) Keep up the good work - we all have lives, it's tough to do the things we want around the things we have to do. Keep going!

Thanks a lot for the kind encouraging words NR43, Rebeccak. :)

Will try my best to do good works. Btw, I'm still new in the forum and haven't really looked around that much, but I want to start with Digital Painting Workshops.

Can anyone give me advices or tutorial links on how to choose color selections for palettes. I see most people start with some dots of colors on their canvass.

I have no idea how many colors to choose, or how to choose your highlight, midtone, shadows??

Just practicing on sculpting in Zbrush. This character is based on a famous Filipino legendary story called Panday a.k.a. The Blacksmith.

There are many actors that played this role again and again but I chose the original and first actor who played it, which is FPJ.

It is actually a challenge to get highres reference of his face. I actually searched for a long time before getting any decent images. Here are some of the references (http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/ac259/cue-she/Panday/Panday_reference.jpg) I got.

Will be trying to study some more Zbrush tutorials before continuing.
C&C are most definitely welcomed.
