running a simulation for cloth skirt on animated walk baked to the rig for my model, causes the skirt to fall to the ground, do i need to set a mesh constraint or is this to do with another setting? when i run the same tutorial with a model and cloth from maya unlimited, the trousers dont fall to the ground & there dont seem to be any mesh constraints

sounds like you dont have anything holding up the cloth to the body. Try selecting the top row or two of points on ure skirt then the body and using a point to surface or component to component constraint

thanks alot for the help, when i try to mesh constrain the top 2 vertices to the model it says error: must select a mesh object connected to the solver, im not sure what to do from here? & when i try a point constrain it reads error could not add constraint or connections?

make sure that u select the verts on the cloth first then the non cloth object...

if that doesn't help u could email me the file would be happy to take a look.... skealeye at gmail dot com
