Hi there, I´ve been working on a personal project for some months, using Blender, Lightwave, Real Flow and Vue. It will be a virtual environment using Blender´s game Engine, so as a short animation, with some ents walking down the river and street..

I have lots of reference photos of the real place I used to inspire me. Its all modeled and textured in Blender, animated and rendered in LW, water simulations in RF, and a little shot done in Vue.

I decided to post a 'making of' together with the scenes for a better comprehension of the work and here´s what I´ve got so far:

I have got a lot of support from the CGSociety in this work, so I´d like to thank you for that and I hope I can get more feedback regarding this Reel.

Hey there rbfalconi. The scenes look pretty good. Nice texturing and lighting. As for the Ent animation it needs a lot of work. There's no foot roll and no ups or downs. It also appears that the weighting on your bind is distributed improperly. There is noticeable deformation in the bicep, shoulder and back area. They should all have a value of 1 so that they don't deform at all, except of course where the joints actually are. It would be cool to see some over lap in the branches as well to help show more weight to this creature. With some revision Im sure everything will come together nicely. Good Luck!
