I was thinking she might look more iconic and other-worldly if she were a porcelain white with a brighter dress. Any thoughts?

She looks stunning! Very beautiful, I can't think of anything to critique.
I like the first verision best though, she looks warmer and more 'naturey'.
I think it looks perfect that way, but if you still want to work with it, why not add some more animals to the background? maybe partly hidden so they don't take focus away from the elf princess.

I'm voting for # 2 myself, ethereal works better in my mind, especially given the nice watercolor effect you've got going on there.

Beautiful piece. I have to say no. 2 as well. Though, I think that version need some more kontrast, since the values in the background and character are very similiar right now, and she tends to dissappear and make the piece a bit flat. I think it would work even better if the bakground got a little darker to make her pop more.

Other than that, really nice work and I love the watercolour feel to it as the person before me mentioned :)

I really like both images and the figure is stunning.

My first reaction was "she needs some freckles." I don't know why. But as I've thought about it a bit more, perhaps freckles wouldn't be so effective as some light blue veins/veining?

Honestly, I think they're both perfect, but if you're looking for something a "little more" then that's all I can conjure.
