Nice!
If I may ask, how long have you been animating, and how long did that "test" take to animate in Cinema? I'm curious because I'm about to get into CA more seriously and I'm curious about how much time I'm "not" going to have in the future :buttrock:
Thanks for sharing!

Nice! I like it lot Sanciok. It has a peculiar stop motion feel to it.
You might wanna watch the balance after the land when he turns to look to his left. I think he leans back too much and he looks like he might topple over.
Also, you have him in the air starting to lead with his left leg--so I would try having him land on his left foot first and then follow with the right, rather than contacting the ground at the same time.
Here's a tip for you: When you have got fairly far along with your animation, try watching it flipped horizontally. It will give a you fresh perspective for a few moments and you can more easily see errors and what not.
Also, I've said it before, I'll say it again: If you don't have The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams, go out and get a copy today. (It has a great section on jumps).

Actually i did an animation course in Maya last year... and after that i started animating in Cinema. The most difficult part to learn was the Rigging.... Btw i think that Cinema's timeline is even better than the Maya Graph Edior/dope sheet... We just need a trax editor... but the MoMix do the trick...
Jimarse: Thanks for your advices and tips! I don't have the animator survival kit... and i don't know if here in italy.... :)
I like it a lot too. I think that the motion blur is too heavy when he's jumping. It's like the camera goes out of focus. Might want to tone that down a bit.

Nice work, sanciok! I do think the motion blur is a little much, though, and maybe he IS leaning back a little to far at one point...but otherwise, very nice!
Do you work on a Mac or PC? I'm on a Mac and I've been trying to animate my dinosaur and it's painfully slow no matter how many things I "turn off". I don't want to start another Mac vs. PC debate...just curious...

I work on a slow pc!
an amd athlon 1333.... with a gForce2
it all depends on how many polys u are working with....
my character is really really low poly so the refersh is almoest realtime!!
My advice can also be to use a very low detail setting in the vewport or maybe using a "box" verstion (very very low poly) of your character!
I'd like to show you my dino rig Bob... can u give me your email again?

sanciok my email address is:
bob@theiguanaden.com
Yeah, it looks like I'll have to basically get my viewport down to animating sticks or something!
Thanks for the advice.
