Hi,
I have a scene with around 10 000 objects with total of 50 000 polygons.
It renders fine in mental ray every single frame for around 10 seconds, but when I start batch render it stays on the first frame forever and fill the memory to 14Gb! Usualy it takes around 1.5Gb of memory on rendering a single frame.
There's no problems with maya software batch render.
The only way to continue rendering with mental ray was to combine all objects to one, but this i s not a solution because all those objects have unique animation applied.
It's obviously that the problem is caused by too much objects in the scene.
I tried to change a lot of things like raytracing or scanline, BSP, large BSP and BSP2, assign a default lambert to all, optimize the scene... but no difference.
How to set the render settings for such a situation or something else is the key?
Thanks!
