hi!!:wavey:

I would like to know if anybody knows how to make all the materials to have the attribute "self-iluminated" at 100%. I'm a bit worried because that's a bit important for me.

Thanks!!:)

I would recommend MatMaster:
http://www.scriptspot.com/bobo/mxs3/matmaster/

It lets you create presets of Material Properties and assign them to all scene materials or to materials of selected objects.

It is a Scripted Utility which works in Max 2.5, 3, 4, 5 and 6!
(written for someone at Midway Games back in 2000)
Download the Zip, run the file, then look under Utilities>MAXScript

In your case, create a new Preset, scroll in the property list to find SelfIllumAmount, double-click it or press Add... to add to the Preset, then set the float value to 100.0. Press the UPDATE MATERIALS button and all scene materials will become 100% self-illuminated.

You can create your own library of such Presets to quickly alter the complete scene or just selected objects (for example you could use it to switch all materials to transparent red doublesided wireframe with a single click etc...)
