Recently I'm having to go in and detach poly objects alot just so I could operate on sub objects, this leaves alot of child object that needs to me combined in to single poly later on. So it ends up with many operations..like this:
<detach.>
->Do stuff.....
<combine>
->no satisfied
<detach.>
->do stuff again
<combine>
.
.
.
etc.
In max this is done though Elements selection, as you work on elements, now I finally apprciate that button, is there anything similar I could do to improve the situation on Maya.
Ps this isn't a problem before, but now I'm involved with testing and evaluating models...so there is no final concept/model I can rely on.
