Hi there,
Im guessing by your reel that your primary focus is on physics simulation, and modeling? i like the style your pushing with the reel, trying to break the boundaries that are usually a spinning model. but you might want to slow it down/tone it down just a little. your modeling seems great! but i had a hard time admiring it with all of the fast and sudden camera moves. other than that your stuff looks great! its all about the presentation man.

good luck getting the internship!

Hi there,

Overall your reel kept me interested though I would generally stay clear of techno-y type music as it tends to take away from the video. I also had to turn down my speakers (maybe Im just keeping them high, but something to keep in mind).

At first I was a bit unsure of what you were going for as your primary position. Your models are quite good as well as your physics simulation though showing a kick ass helicopter model, followed by water physics (beautifully rendered I might add, good job with the shaders!) I was a bit confused as to what you wanted your focus to be.

I would say, choose your focus and go with it all the way. If you want to work in cinematics for television commercials (a good market for that), check out what people from studios like Blur or Shilo are doing. Personally, I thought it was a well made reel, just in a tiny need of a bit more focus.

Good job!

Yes, the demo doesn`t say at all what type of job you are looking for. Also, the watch animation would look better if the hands would rotate at proportional speeds : the 3 hands are moving relativly at the same speed which feels weird, a reel is all about the detail :)

Thanks for your comments :-)

You're all right with what you say and I'm gonna work on it the next weeks. So thank you again for taking your time giving me your helpful critique.
