I posted this under modeling too, but I don't know how much traffic that area gets.
Whats the best way to take an area of high detail and terminate the edgeloops going into a low area. For example if you had a lot of detail in the forhead area of a head and wanted to take it into the ear but did not want all those extra loops going in to the ear area. I have seen how the "hobbit guy" does his wrinkles and i was looking for more tricks like that.
