My first image post here

I got inspired here by seeing some people post Illustrator work and I wanted to do something that could push my ability and the limits of Illustrator. I think I accomplished, something :p

This was done in Illustrator 9, in 126 layers in 52 groups, referencing a picture of Ayumi Hamasaki (a Japanese singer).

Wow !!! It's a very good job !!! A cute little girl
Maybe I have 1 remark, the shadows on the lips in the reference are not the same. In your picture they looks like too big on the down lips.
Scuse for my english :)

I have to ask...
How long did that take you??
That looks like a CRAZY amount of work!

I thought I was a layer whore!

Definitely looks like Ayumi Hamasaki. Could do with a few more details in the fingers but apart from that, looks fantastic.

Draco: I kinda lost count... I've been working on it for a week now so I'd say a good 20+ hours.

Its a nice illustration job. Although, the shirt looks flat. The facial area looks like the strongest part of the image and the bright necklace is asking for too much attention.

Nice! But use "Save for web" in PS next time. This took 30 sec to load even if i have high speed.
