I got an art test today from a company and it asks to create some textures in a "vertical poly grid"? I asked some of my friends in the game industry and they don't have a clue what it means...and they too are artists! The maps are to be in a square shape (128x128) so I'm a bit baffled as to what the vertical is refering to.
If anyone knows what this terminology is refering to I'd appreciate it. I'm sure its really something simple but I was just curious.
Thanks!

I think they just mean a poly plane that's rotated 90 so it's like a wall.

Planes are called 'grids' in XSI.
