MAYA TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
AurenyA Entertainment is a small but growing Animation studio producing high quality animated content and visual FX for television, feature film, console games and commercial clients. We are based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and seeking an experienced technical director to work on upcoming projects, including a CG animated television show and several commercial contracts.
Requirements:
Must be a team player and creative and resourceful under pressure.
Programming background a plus
Extensive experience and knowledge of Maya, MEL scripting
Experience and understanding in all areas of animation pipeline with focus on character set-up, lighting & rendering.
Artistic background/training, knowledge of color, lighting and composition
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Production experience in television preferred
Contract and F/T salary positions with benefits are available. Preference will be given for salary positions to a Calgary resident or someone who is willing to relocate. Must be a Canadian citizen or legally able to work in Canada.
