View Full Version : Environment: 3d/2d Matte Painting

This is my second attempt at doing a matte painting. I wanted to take a break from strictly doing 3d work. :P

There is something about it that does not look right and I wanted to get some feedback before I finalize this piece for my reel. This castle on the hill doesn't look right and I cannot figure out what it is.

to me it seems like the castle is too blurry and also doesn't stand out enough... it looks like it's just slapped on there instead of actually blending with the mountains... does that make sense?
