Hello, I'm having a problem I've never had before in respect to lights. My project settings are production (or higher) and I'm getting graininess on my surfaces. At first I thought it was the shadow quality settings but I turned off the lights emitting shadows and I still notice it. Pumping up the anti-aiasing and min/max sample levels aren't working. Jitter is on and the multi-pixel filtering is set to Gaussian.

I'm attaching an image of my issue. This is an area light (using mostly spots but I have a couple area lights too) with no shadows on a lambert surface. Production quality with anti-aliasing contrast at .02.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Checked it on my Viewsonic and my Acer monitors. No grain in site, my friend.

yeah i see it if you zoom all the way in and stare at it a whole bunch on a bright monitor

what kind of material is that? is it a mia_material? what's the glossy reflection setting? are you reflecting actual objects or an environment map? what color depth are you rendering to? are you using gamma correction?
