i am rendering from coomand line
what should i use in command line render to turn the raytrace on cause i am trying

render -r mr -x 200 -y 200 -ert 1 test_01.mb

but i am not able to render when i put -ert , whenever i add -ert to the lines, it dont render, please help

you don't need to turn ray tracing on in the command line. If the scenes uses things that require raytracing or it's already set up with raytracing, it will do it.
