Last week I posted my finished VFS reel, but I felt that it was too long and draggy.. and from an employer's perspective potentially boring and eject-worthy. So I've recut it to be much faster paced, and I'm hoping to get some feedback:

http://ldsmith.info/?reel right at 2 minutes in length

in contrast, here is the previous version which was 3 minutes 45 seconds:

At VFS, we're taught to have all of these really big cinematic shots (it's a film school after all), but for a demo reel I feel like it needs to be more to the point. So I've tried getting a breakdown in within 30 seconds of the opening title, and they're tastefully scattered throughout the two minutes.

I appreciate any feedback!!

hey man great work , but i guess u can make the first cinematic shot shorter , and also i would show the dinosaur right after the cinematic shot , cause he looks better than the other stuff , but overall , great work man , keep it up

thanks everybody for the comments, i appreciate the feedback!

@artistcg: yeah, the first part is the only part that still feels a bit long to me even with the speedups, but I'm working on a few new projects right now, and when I am finished with them I will cut that section down to barely nothing, and add in my new material.

Thanks again!
