I was looking at the BlenRig3 of Juan Pablo Bouza:
http://www.jpbouza.com.ar/ESP2/descargas/blenrig-3/id/en

and when I change the viewport from solid to wire I can see all the meshes with colors. For example the low poly mesh is color green.

Does someone how to change the wire color of a mesh. All my meshes are black in the viewport. I know there is a wirecolor in preferences but this affects to all your meshes.
Perhaps this is some script that changes the color of your selected meshes. I wonder why this is not in Blender. I was looking in google and a paper where a blender developper was discussing this and it was in 2004, so it was not considered.

That's one thing I would like to know as well - I am using Four Madmen's layer manager and have written a script that will convert all selected objects to to a different drawtype. However, it would be nice to have a different wire/bounds colour for each layer.

I am trying to contact the blenrig author to ask him about the wire colors, how he did that. I think it must be some script clearly. I will post here if I know the answer.

I think the green wire you're seeing is representative of it being in a group.

I think the green wire you're seeing is representative of it being in a group.

Yes, Juan Pablo answered my email saying that.
I also was seeing the rig with blue and red colors but it must indicate also
some properties (like it has animation or constraints of this or that type).

Well, it seems there is absolutely no way to give wire colors to blender. Perhaps
they did it to avoid confussion because some colors have significance in Blender (like
green being for "groups").
