paco33 08-24-2009, 05:37 PM Hi everyone, I have to do an animation like the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpqwYEWbV5Q
In my case is not a shoe, its a hat, a lamp and a toy
I think the solution its with bones, but also with morphers (Max) or blendshapes (Maya)
Any sugestion or comment??
thanks for all

This type of effect requires a lot of planning, clear understanding of the end result and knowing what you have to show and what you can hide.
Things to notice:
-severe changes typically pop
-the camera doesnt pan, rotate or even move
-end shapes are relativly similar
To achieve this level of complexity, you'll probably end up using every tool in the trade. Heres a breakdown of a project I did in a simliar vein. May be useful:

All and all, it'll be a lot of technical animation and sheer work to get all the various states to flow and behave.
Good luck!
