View Full Version : how to create mesh( filter) ?

into a filter like this

Go to photoshop and create the mesh you want, save it with an alpha channel (I use .tiff). In Max add the map you just made to the diffuse and opacity channel, be sure to set the opacity channel to use the alpha of the image.

For reference, Max already has a chain link material that uses the same technique you want to use. Open up material editor, click standard, select 'Browse from Mtl Library' open and browse to C:/Programme files/Autodesk/3D Max/materiallibraries/3dmax.mat. You will find it in there.
