View Full Version : UV problem when trying to paint
alexpdennis 08-21-2009, 10:56 PM hello all,
i'm band new to mudbox and i built a little spider and i want to paint him/her in mudbox but when i try it goes "uh uh little poopy boy!!"
i built the base mesh in cinema 4d. Also, the front part of the body and the booty "were" two separate pieces that were "connected" together then exported. in case that matters

sorry:
of the uv view? because thats a screen shot that i posted of what it's giving me on the mesh.
Mudbox requires clean UVs, click the UV View button and post a screen shot of that.

ok,
so i decided to start over with a lower poly mesh. I re imported the obj back into Cinema 4d and used he magic UV thingy that is in body paint 3d and it gave me what i believe to be a better UV layout. however, when i re import the obj back into mudbox and try to paint on, it it is better, though i'm still getting grief. is this just a matter of me learning how to create better, cleaner UVs?
thanks
