I think maybe what you are looking for is to make a screen capture.
If you are on Windows I can do it. Mac...? Beuller?
Run ZBrush. Hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard. This put a copy of the screen in the clipboard.
Close Z.
Open PShop. File: New. It will already be set with a document size to match whatever is in the clipboard.
Paste.

I know you got your answer, but...
You can open ZBush in Maya, Modo and C4D with GoZ (http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/features/GoZBrush/) - more apps coming soon
You can paint in ZBrush using PaintStop (http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/features/PaintStop/)
And...
ZAppLink 3 (http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/downloadcenter/zplugins/) is a ZBrush plugin that allows you to seamlessly integrate your favorite image editing software into your ZBrush workflow. Call up your image editing package while in ZBrush, use it to modify the active ZBrush document or tool, and then go straight back into ZBrush.
