My first 3D character to be modeled and rendered with Alias Maya. I'm still working on it!

Question... Can anyone tell me why It appears that light is coming out of the nostrils, mouth and ear cavity??? I have tried blocking from the bottom and inside but, no go!! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

you need to start with a low amount of polys and get the general shape of a female head first. By the look of the surface, this appears to have a lot of faces. You should go back and delete some lines. You've added too much detail ie. an ear... way too soon. Good start, but you're going to fast. Take it slow and look at pics of female heads.

Oh, and if you turn on shadows on the on of the lights in the scene, it should get rid of the nasal glow. If they are turned on already, I dunno.
