Hi,
Today I started with a car crash test. I used reactor's cloth for the initial impact on a proxy geometry and then skin wrapped it to the high res car. The model isn't mine tho I had to reconstruct it a bit for better deformation results. The practice is for the simulation effect and not the modeling. :)
I started with simcloth3 but failed to keep the volume of the car so I ended up using reactor's cloth instead. I'm still not that happy with it. Maybe I'll try to do it manually and morph the crash effect on impact.
It's a very early WIP. Also need to shatter the glass, improve the car animation and overall to make it look more convincing..

I'm using this is as reference. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtFjNsTWC4Q&feature=PlayList&p=09E8D28362158967&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=3)
I might try rayfire for those shatter effects or might do it with reactor itself..
