hi, its me again :hmm:
Ive been putting my character's key poses in, and when i want to change the timing i have to select every bone seperatly and then move their keys to a new frame. I was wondering if there was a quicker way to select and edit all the keys in a bone hierarchy instead of having to pick them individually. thanks.

press shift and left-mouse drag in the timeline or just double left-click timeline then drag the red area. You can either move or scale with the arrows at the bottom of the seletion.

and use MMB to drag selected keys to change the timing....

if u dont like how Maya shows the keys of only the selected objects AND u dont want to select the heiarchy....you can change this in your preferances....

the timeline isnt really for editing keys. you can do some stuff there, like copy paste move. but the the little ticks just show that there is a key there, it dosent tell you whether it is left ik translate y or spine rotate x.
all the real key editing is done in the graph editor.
read the help files on that, and also making character sets.
you could make a character set with just the attributes that are
relevent to control your character/ select it and adjust every key in the entire animation.
also check out the trax editor its cool too.
